A member asked why both rear indicators on a 1989 Sunsport had stopped working while the front indicators still worked. Another member suggested checking the hitch area for damaged, pinched, or skinned wiring and looking for blown trailer-related fuses, noting that some motorhomes treat rear lights as trailer lights with separate fuses or relays.

Hi again all. Is there any reason why both rear indicators would stop working at the same time? The fronts work as they should.
Thank you in advance.

First check hitch area for any wire damage/ pinched/ skinned, etc. and repair properly, then check for blown trailer related fuses. My Ford Class C tail/ stop lights are treated as trailer lights, e.g. separate fuses/ relays from front lights

Hi Dennis and thanks for the reply. Sorry its a 1989 Sunsport. I have found the problem now. Like an awful lot of other stuff Im finding during this resto, it makes no sense at all. Theres a plug / socket affair tucked right up above the fuel tank. The plug end was up there anyway, the socket was hanging down at the rear which I mistakenly thought was a trailer socket. the wires were 14" short of reaching the plug!!
Please understand that this is in UK and therefore we have an annual MOT test, It had a full 12 month test on it when I bought it back in October so they must have worked then!!!
