Removing Dash A/C to Improve Cooling on 1989 Sunsport

Hi again. I am removing all of the motor driven A/C from my 1989 Sunsport. Its very rarely required here in UK so , to try to get more air through the radiator to aid cooling, thats what I'm doing. Can anyone tell me if this part of the wiring loom is all part of the A/C wiring please. I'm sure it was at some point but, as theres no fuse in the fuse holder, I'm guessing its been out of action for some time.

Looks like you have a relay and possibly a fuse in that wire bundle. There is couple of connectors.
Question: Does your Sunsport have electric fans used for the AC? If so you may be able to use the fans to move air when needed.

Thank you for the reply. Yes mine had electric fans in front of the AC radiator. That seemed to make it struggle more when they were switched on. I think it caused an air 'blockage' so no air moved anywhere. It has overheated twice, both times when towing my race car. The aircon rad and fans , in my opinion, slowed the flow of air to the radiator. Now that I have removed them, I can see that the amount of crud build up between the two rads was an issue.
Mine is an 8272 model. It was an absolute mess when first purchased last October but is now a much nicer place to be.

I remember when you posted about your early issues. Glad you are able to enjoy your camper. You are learning a lot about it.
Is it a left hand drive? Gas or diesel? Sounds like a fun project.

I almost finished a rebuild of a 2021 5210 Covid camper. There is always something to fix or improve.
I have another project waiting, a per DEF 2008 Dodge diesel dually. It was an antenna truck for a network TV station. Less than 100 k miles. Should be fun.

Hi Just two. Thanks for the reply. It is a 1989 Sunsport that has been 'messed with' quite a lot. Its a 454 chevy but has been converted to LPG. I do need to get it running on petrol as the gas increases engine temp and it doesn't like towing my race car. The good point is that my wife now enjoys it and also comes racing with me and , fairly regularly, books us in a campsite down the coast.
