Hi y'all. I've been running on Sumitomo ST719 tires for the past five/six years and 70k miles and have loved them. Although they are rated for a hell of a lot of miles, have plenty of tread left and we never stop rolling for very long to incur UV damage seen with a lot of RVs, I don't want to hedge my bets by rolling much longer. I called a shop that does tires for trucks and RVs and they recommended I look at Sailun for my coach. They are a Michelin owned company and they are made in Vietnam. They come with an 8yr (vs 6 on the Sumitomo line ) and drivers apparently love them. They did have an issue in 2021 which was resolved and Michelin has had three recalls in the general timeframe.

Does anyone have Sailuns and would be kind enough to render an opinion on them. I have read on other forums about folks who have liked them as well but thought I'd ask here!

Thanks!

Update: I did learn that Michelin does not own Sailun. In fact, I could find no partnership or affiliations with other tire companies.

Update: After as much research as I could stomach - I purchased the Sailun S637s and after 1500 miles from Texas to home, it was like driving an Escalade. Sailun just climbed into the Top 10 of the global most valuable tire brands. The only reason I didn't replace my Sumitomo tires was purely availability. When they were pulled, the tech said there was zero evidence of stiffening or cracking sidewalls and the beads were also in great shape. Both he and the manager of the tire company in Houston stood by Sailuns as a great reliable brand.

I'll update this thread if I have any issues but from other forum contributions such as iRV2, etc, people like them.
