Is this a hard fix wondering if I disengage the motor from the track and push slide in and reconnect drive just seems to me its jumped a couple teeth on bottom track

Not that simple for most slides -- what is the slide application (full size class A or small trailer)? Also, is your slide hydraulic or electric? Steel cable timed or rack and pinion gears? Which manufacturer (Schwintek or Power Gear/Lippert or other)?

Let us know how to narrow this question down and perhaps some documents can be provided to help...

I have a hydraulic system in mine, no tracks, I found a wedge adjustment on the under inside of the slide.
So I’m thinking you are correct with your assessment of the track being out of time..(skipped a tooth or two)
If it were me i would goggle “how to re-time an gear type RV slide”

I just googled this your slide issue and found this.
* To re-time a gear type RV slide, you can try these steps:*
1. Ensure proper voltage

2. Extend and retract the slide very quickly, listening for the motors to click. Both motors should click when resyncing.*
3. Reset the controller
Press and hold the button inside the controller seven times. When the LED lights start flashing quickly, let go of the button. This will re-sync the slide motors.*Lubricate the tracks
4. While resetting the slide, you can also lubricate the tracks. A lack of lubrication can cause the slide to have difficulty moving. You can use a lubricating product like WD-40's RVcare line
Good luck
Mike
