I only get 7 mpg driving 60mph. Visiting with other similar rigs with the triton v10, I am well below their averages of 8-8.5 mpg. Any suggestions othe than slowing down some more? My MH is a class A 34' ,10 years old, with 54,000 mi.

Thanks

Gary

I have a 2007 with the triton v10 35' class A getting about 7mpg to. Like you I have a friend with a 35' class A dutchstar with v10 getting about 8.5 mpg? I drive about 60, try to not let rig down shift to offen, stay away from hills, use open road as offen as I can etc. Maybe someone can help us Gary :?: bobnliz

I have had my "new" 2005 BT Cruiser with the Triton 6.8L V10 for 1 week, and have not driven it enough to check gas mileage. However, I do know that when the generator is running, it is drawing gas from the same tank as the V10 engine, so I wouldn't expect very good mileage if the generator is being used.

I originally thought I was doing better than 8 to 9, but that's what it is. 2019 E350 Conquest 6.8. with a 4:56 rear end. Thats ensuring my tires are properly inflated and I try to keep it 62 mph, rpms not over 220, use my cruise control, ensure oil is maintained and air filter is clean. I do occasionally through some Lucas in the tank also.

Keep your tires properly inflated to the recommended levels. Underinflated tires can significantly reduce fuel efficiency.

Currently on a 6 week trip crossing the country and back and to my surprise I’m averaging out to 8.8 to 9.2 mpg.Thats with 4K pounds in tow running 58 to 62 miles an hour. I’m actually very happy with that. Much better than expected and that’s with about 4500 miles on trip. Appreciate your response
