As previously posted, I have tried to fit new rubber as mine have hardened and shrunk. Unfortunately the strip that I bought is slightly wrong for the extrusion. Its close but not close enough. Would there be a code for the original profile or am I going to have to keep looking? I have had samples sent to me but none seem right.

Since you mentioned that your existing rubber moldings are shrunken and distorted...what is your criteria for what a new replacement section should look like?? Do you have any parts of the rubber seals that are not shrunken -- perhaps in a protected location under cover and not exposed to sunlight, temperature changes, etc. ??

Perhaps try an auto glass shop. They might be able to provide both the seals and advice.

Thanks again for the replies. Yes I have some from where it wasn't shrunken and I have been to several glazing outlets and auto trim specialists. None of them have exactly what I need although some are close. The close ones still dont hold the glass as they should. I have several samples that I have tried.

Of course, some companies are set up to custom extrude to your exact cross section specification/example if you really need to...

Thanks again Chuck. It looks as though their 1/2" strip looks the right one. I'll get in contact with them and see if they will ship to UK.
