has anyone done one of these yet . i want to pull a 14ft motorcycle trailer with electric brakes. the m/h now has a 4 pin plug . whats the best way to wire up the 7pin.

I did our 2002 Friendship. The brake controller wires into the under-dash for all but one wire (Blue). I'd guess you'll have to run a blue wire from the controller to the 7-pin (full length) and move/adapter the lighting from the 4-pin to the 7-pin. The controller instructions are fairly clear. It is more pain than technically difficult.

the other poster nailed it. research types of brake controllers-do yourself a favor and pay the bucks for a really good one. I picked up a tekonsha (sp?) P3 and it's unbelievable as compared to the timed controller I was using. The cost was around $175 but the difference is night and day as compared to the old unit-and so MUCH safer :)
