Yellowstone from Maryland

Hello all;

I would like to plan a trip from Waldorf, Maryland to Yellowstone National Park. I would think April thru July time frame (retired). We have a class A 38 ft coach and tow a Ford Escape on a dolly.

I am retired DOD disabled. I have been told there are military campgrounds in the area.

Any way....

Any suggestions?
Any avoidance's?

I have been there (not the wife) in 1977 by car and went the north route (at the time) thru Wheeling WVa (short hop to friends). Lacrosse, Wis., Mt. Rushmore.............

Drove south to Denver on home bound leg and thru St. Lewis to visit more friends, ..............

Looking for something similar with my current rig.
