Default Just bought new MH

Wife and I have been looking at MHs for about 3 months. We've had a TT for 12 or so years and were wanting to go to a MH. We bought a 2000 DP Sun Voyager 8352 model. The MH has been stored in doors (except for when they traveled). Gotta tell you it's a beast compared to the TT. Has alot of "systems" that our TT didn't have. First thing I figured we would do is have the engine serviced (new belts, hoses, replace fluids on the MH, generator and the transmission). I would welcome any other advise. I've read some of the other newbie recommendations. appreciate the advise and looking forward to doing some learning from the manuals and this forum.

The most important thing to check when you buy a used coach is the date the tires were manufactured. You don't want to be driving tires that are over five years. Most RVers will change tires every five or six years. If a motorhome is not used, even if it is in a garage the tires still go bad. By dirving a coach a chemical reaction in the rubber actually makes for a better tire.
Now go out and enjoy that nice coach.

Thanks Ray,
the tires are original tires dated 498, so we have not taken it anywhere. I haven't wanted to take it out from under cover because it had some cracking in the caulking on the roof and I think (hope) I sealed it up last weekend. Going to schedule it to have new tires as soon as I purchase shocks. I figured I would ask them to install the shocks while I have them installing the new tires. I was thinking about putting Toyo 24575R22.5 on the coach.

Toyo tires are very good tires. That is what I installed on my coach when I replaced the XRV Michelins. I got the 265 75 on the 22.5 I also had them balance with Equal and had the special screened filtered schrader valves installed to prevent any leakage. If you don't install the X air valve stems, you will have leakage problems because the powder will get under the valve seat. But with those special valve stems, Equal gives you a very smooth ride.
Sounds like you will have her on the road pretty soon. Good luck and have fun.
